Many of you know my son Mike and aware
it has been a dream of mine to find a teacher with the skills to teach
him and his adult friends to read.
Like many of our participants, Mike has Down Syndrome and
Dyslexia. Like Mike, Our
children with severe disabilities are taken out of the reading programs
and put into the Life skills program for the 6 years following Jr. High when they go to High
School. My son is now 29 . He and his friends still tell me they want to
read. I am very happy to announce we have started a beginning reading class on Monday, August 3rd. The reading class is directed towards adults that did not learn to read in school. This class is being taught by a teacher experienced in teaching disabled and Dyslexic adults basic reading skills. If you want your Son/Daughter /Friend to learn to read, now is the opportunity. Intensive classes will be held 4 days
per week on Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Friday from 9:30a.m. till 11:00am. The cost
will be $249.00 Per month The class size is limited to 6 students. Please spread the word. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE We thank you all for your support for these wonderful programs for the adults in our community. Gene Rogoway , Director. 425-327-5533
